Tonight I was hit with a hand full of eggs and huge rock on my back and called “Nigger” by a white guy in the backseat of a dark blue truck as I was riding my bike on Westheimer and Jeanetta. They drove too fast for me to get the license plate number. I had to get a cop to drive me home. This night makes me wonder how blacks did it back in the day, and why the community is looking the way it is now. I am trying not to cry, but I am in physical pain from the rock and not understanding why I deserved this.

New Year Resolutions for Christians
- Help whenever, however, and whoever I can.
- Admit it when I’m wrong, but when I’m right make me easier to live with.
- Promote Christ whenever an opportunity presents itself.
- Present myself in the best way possible so that I may be an example for others.
- Yield not to the many temptations that are daily in my path.
- Never think an unkind thought of anyone.
- Endeavor to work harder for the Lord and the church than ever before.
- Weed out all my bad habits to the best of my ability.
- Yearn and pray for peace throughout the world.
- Earnestly desire a stronger relationship with Christ my Savior.
- Attend church regularly and give my whole-hearted support.
- Resolve to give my all for Christ and His word for He gave His all for me.
